Color Correction Facts
How long will my piece last?
If you wish for your flowers to retain their original, vibrant color for a lifetime, it’s essential to choose an artist who offers professional color correction.

Whether your flowers are preserved in a 3D shadow box, pressed within a frame, cast in resin, or freeze-dried, they will inevitably fade over time if they are not sealed with a protective layer of color-correcting pigments.

Flowers are organic material. Their color naturally diminishes as UV light breaks down pigments, oxidation occurs through air exposure, and moisture loss causes cellular collapse from the inside out. Natural aging — along with high heat and humidity — further accelerates fading, browning, and translucency in the petals.

No matter the drying method, all flowers lose some vibrancy even before they are placed into their final display. As moisture is removed, tones often become softer and more muted.

Color correction is the only way to safeguard against these natural aging processes, helping your flowers remain as bright and vivid as they were when they were alive.

With out color correction, preserved flowers may last only a few years before significant fading occurs — though natural aging can be beautiful in its own way.

We understand that preservation is a meaningful investment. Providing clear, transparent education about the process is incredibly important to us, so that each person can make a fully informed decision about which artist is the right fit for them.
Best time to book?
Weddings/Events:
Smaller, more intimate preservation studios will always encourage you to book as early as possible—and for good reason. Early booking ensures there is adequate time and space reserved for your flowers. We echo this sentiment wholeheartedly at our studio.

Our work is built around intentional, one-on-one connection with each client. We believe in quality over quantity. By offering only a limited number of bookings each year, we’re able to give every customer—and every piece—the care, attention, and artistry it deserves.
Suggested Booking Times by Event Month:

January–April Events:
Book 3–4 months in advance
May–July Events:
Book 5–6 months in advance

August–December Events:

Fall couples:
We truly cannot stress enough to book as early as possible. Each fall, we unfortunately have to turn away many inquiries once our calendar is full.
While we do accommodate last-minute requests when possible, availability is never guaranteed. Early booking is the best way to ensure we can create something meaningful for you.
